A: Fourslide is the type of slide forming which is used to manufacture precision stampings or wire forms.

A: Northwest Fourslide's focus since
1979 is to produce thin gauge parts on fourslide machines. The company has developed
extensive experience using fourslide
machines for cost effective manufacturing.




Q: Is my part suitable for fourslide?

A: If your part is less than 2.125" (54 mm) wide in the flat or if you have a wire form less than .188" (4.8 mm) diameter, contact us.



Q: What is the minimum/maximum thickness of fourslide parts?

A: .004" (0.100 mm) to .062" (1.6 mm) for strip
.005" (0.125 mm) to .188" diameter for wire.




Q: What is minimum run quantity?

A: Fourslide tooling is relatively less costly than other technologies, but at 5000 parts warrants consideration of fourslide manufacturing.

For quantities less than 5000, Northwest Fourslide has alternative cost effective tooling and technologies to meet your needs.
Q: What is tool life?

A: 2,000,000 pieces minimum. At Northwest Fourslide, there is a one-time tooling charge and we maintain the tool for the life of your project.



Q: Who owns the tool?

A: The customer owns the tool and is stored at Northwest Fourslide. for the life of the project at no cost.

The customer has the right to remove the tool for a minor stocking charge.



Q: What is Northwest Fourslide's prototyping capability?

A: Northwest Fourslide has strong timely prototyping capabilities to try out parts for emulation of manufacturing. We also have short run capabilities (less than 5000 pieces) that can be used in your production.



Q: Does Northwest Fourslide do plating?

A: Northwest Fourslide is partnered with local platers to ensure delivery responsiveness and quality.
