Fly Fishing Game Interface

A client approached me with an idea for a CD game based on fly fishing. He needed an idea that would intuitively access video clips about various types of flies, when and how to use them. It needed to show the behavior of the fish (that we animated) under the water line, and a way to choose a fly and cast in a direction and distance based on the environment (lake vs river) and observed fish behavior. The player's choices would key a video to offer relative tips. So I presented this idea and the client used it. I would like to see this concept updated to a more modern and technical iteration.

We were limited to 800×600 resolution and 8-bit color at the time.
