Giger Hieroglyphics

Upon the passing of the famed artist H.R. Giger, I was asked to explore the possibility of creating a memorial casting of one his works. I took the art into Photoshop and used the image itself, as well as hand-brushed grayscale to create a relief map. Then using that map in Cinema4D, I was able to apply dramatic lighting and visually test a variety of potential materials.
